What this site is

Seed & Sprig publishes editorial guidance about backyard bird feeding: feeder types, seed, placement and seasonal care. It is written for general information. It is not professional advice, and it is not a substitute for guidance from a wildlife agency, a licensed rehabilitator, a veterinarian, or a qualified tradesperson.

What this site is not

• Not a shop. Nothing is sold here. Every buy link goes to Amazon, and any purchase you make is a contract between you and that retailer. Orders, payment, delivery, warranty and returns are handled entirely by them.
• Not a testing lab. We do not test the products we write about, and we say so on every commercial page. Our recommendations come from published manufacturer specifications and cited authority guidance — our methodology is public.
• Not a wildlife authority. For injured wildlife, disease outbreaks or local regulations, contact your state wildlife agency or a licensed rehabilitator.

Accuracy and changes

We take accuracy seriously and cite our sources so you can check them. Even so, product specifications change without notice, manufacturers revise listings, prices move constantly, and links go stale. Content is provided “as is,” without warranty of any kind, express or implied.

Always verify current specifications and prices on the retailer's or manufacturer's own page before buying. Prices shown here are pulled live and date-stamped; where no live price is available we say “check price” rather than showing an old number.

We may change, move or remove content at any time. If you spot an error, tell us — see the editorial policy for how corrections are handled.

Safety note

Some guidance here involves ladders, tools, cleaning chemicals and wildlife.
