The required statement

Seed & Sprig is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases.

What that means for you

• You pay nothing extra. The price is the same whether you reach the retailer through us or type the address yourself.
• We earn a commission on qualifying purchases made after you click one of our links. That commission is what pays for the site.
• Every earning link is marked. Buy buttons carry an #ad label and a link back to this page, and every commercial page carries a disclosure above its first buy link — not only in the footer.
• Every earning link routes through /go/ on this domain before reaching the retailer, and carries rel="sponsored nofollow noopener" as Google's link-spam policy requires.

Who we currently earn from

Amazon — that is the complete list. We have not joined any CJ or Awin program, so nothing on this site is a tracked link to one, even where the brand runs a public affiliate program.

Links to Brome Bird Care, Perky-Pet / Droll Yankees, Erva Tool & Die, Duncraft are reference links to manufacturer documentation. We earn nothing from those; they are there so you can check a specification against the source.

How we keep commission out of the rankings

1. Ranking is decided before the link is built. The order of a roundup comes from the published specifications and the criteria on the methodology page. Which retailer pays what is not one of the criteria.
2. Buyer-first beats commission. Where a cheaper or better-stocked option exists, it gets the primary button even when another retailer would pay us more.
3. Every roundup names something to skip. A list where everything is recommended is a list optimized for clicks rather than for you.
4. We publish the caveats. The most-read page on this site argues that the product category it sits in over-promises. That is not a commercially optimal thing to write, and it stays.

What we do not accept

• Free product from any manufacturer or retailer. None, ever.
• Payment for placement, ranking, or a review.
• Sponsored posts or paid guest content.
• Gifts, samples or loans of equipment.

About prices on this site

Prices are pulled from the retailer and stamped with the date they were checked. When we do not have a live price, the button says “Check price on Amazon” rather than showing a remembered number. A price older than 48 hours is treated as no price at all and disappears on its own.

Retail prices change constantly and can differ by seller, region and time of day. Always check the price on the retailer's own page before buying.

Testing, again, because it belongs here too

We have not tested these products. Our recommendations come from published manufacturer specifications, cited authority guidance and arithmetic we show our working for. The methodology page sets out exactly what that involves.
